Retreat Information

How much does it cost?

Each Retreat = $125.00

Deposit of $50.00 will hold your place

Balance of $75.00 is due on, or before, the first day of the retreat.


Retreats run from Thursday at noon, until Sundays at around 5:00 pm (if there are changes in any times, for any reason, we will notify each of you via email in advance). Unfortunately, at this time, we do not pro rate the retreats if you are unable to attend for all 4 days. 

Where are the Retreats?

We have booked the Claresholm Social Centre, 5009 2 St. E., Claresholm, AB - a short walk from our Quilt Shop

What does it include?

Your own space (table) to set up your sewing machine, cutting mat, fabric, projects etc.

Each retreater will also have a small tv table to keep by your larger table (to hold snacks, small fabric pieces, your iPad, patterns etc.)

Breakfasts are on your own.  Sunday Morning Brunch will be provided.

Lunches are shared, somewhat organized, pot luck lunches (or if you prefer you could bring your own lunch). Each person will only have to supply one part of the lunch on one day - we like to keep it simple. We do have access to a full kitchen on site as well.

Supper/Dinner is on your own. Either Friday OR Saturday night we will provide a supper - that will be served at the Centre.

Door prizes and/or gifts are always a fun part of the retreat each weekend.

We will also have a "community" table to share cutting mats as well as a few  irons to share. There is a lot of space to lay out your quilt if you have a larger project that you are working on.

We will have a craft or small project that is optional, but usually a fun time to participate in an activity together.

Every member of the retreat will get a discount of at least 15% at Willow Creek Quilts for the retreat days. Plus, you will have access to the store for a more private shopping experience at different times over the weekend.

How do I Sign up for the Retreat?

The 2 ways to sign up for the retreat are............

1. Come into the store and talk with myself or one of our staff members and we will get your place saved and take your deposit monies.

2. Phone the store (403.625.4353) and we can take your information over the phone and save your spot. We can also take your credit card information over the phone. Methods of payment are credit card or e-transfer, whatever is easiest for you.

What if I have to Cancel?

If you cancel more than a month in advance we will refund 100% of your deposit and if you have paid the remaining balance you will receive 100% of that return as well. You can chose to receive the full refund, OR if you plan on attending another retreat we can put it towards those costs, OR we can keep a store credit on file for you as well - Your Choice :)

If you have to cancel between one month and two weeks of the retreat start date then we will refund 50% of your deposit.

Unfortunately we will not be able to refund your deposit if you cancel within two weeks, or less, of the retreat start date. If there are severe extenuating circumstances please talk with Hayley about it in advance and we will see what we can do to accommodate you.
